A container

A container, yes, a very important element when drinking beer, which helps you to drink beer for sure.

There are many kinds of container, with different shapes, different styles, different materials.

A mug, a glass, a cup, a bottle,  a bucket, a lot of different kinds of product to serve beer. Different people like different materials, but with glassware nowadays, it probably the best to serve beer.

One of the advantages of using glassware is you are able to observe the color of the beer, as well as the bubbles when it forms on the top (which we call the beer head).

The shapes of the glassware, including tulip, flute, pint, weizen, tumbler, wind goblet, jug, liqueur, thistle, etc would affect mainly 4 characteristics of the beer.

First, aroma. Just like wine, the glass with narrow mouth stores the aroma inside the glass; and the glass with wide mouth spread the aroma to your sensing organ.

Second, foam. As the foam separates oxygen from the beer, it slows down the acidification of the beer. Instead, the forming of the bubbles also is one of the important eye-catching elements of the beer.

Third, flavor. With different shape of the glass, the beer comes to different place of your tongue when you drink. And we all know different taste bud in different area of the tongue.

Last, temperature. No one likes drinking warm beer, it tastes like shit. The thickness of the glass affect the temperature of the beer by your hand and the ambient temperature.

So I bought a new glass for the beer challenge.

 What's your favourite container?

Beer Challenge

Beer, my first alcoholic drink, was thought too bitter to drink with, but now is the drink I would definitely order in a bar.

Beer has a its own long history, even started in Mesopotamia period. It has a lot of styles and varieties which has different kinds of aroma, flavor and body.

I am a beer lover, with its special bitterness, but this was also the reason I didn't like beer at the very first time (consider that was like 8-ish, stealing dad's beer to drink). When a man grows up, he changes, as well as his taste (no references and scientific proof).

For sure, I haven't drink all the beer in the world as its mass styles and brands. It would be fun to do so, and definitely difficult to do. I bet many of beer lovers would love to try this challenge and many are doing that.

SO, I will, in here, take this challenge too, and record ALL the beer I can find in my life, and introduce them with their histories and stories to every single beer lover!!

At least one posting per week for this record and challenge, I would encourage all lovers to do that and look for your favorite beer!

Cheers!!

The Drink

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first post!

We drink everyday, and we drink a lot of different kinds of drink.

When comes to the most common drink in the world, you know it and you knew it - Water.

There are a lot of names for water, including the origin of life, which we can live no more without it.

And, that's why we drink.

When water is such an important substance to us, but it has no odor and taste, people with a tongue do not feel comfortable with it and started making something to stimulate the organ of taste.

Different places with different geographies produce different kinds of drink. As we can easily understand the reason, the differences make variety of drinks as well as cultures.

Tea, coffee and beer are the top 3 popular drinks worldwide which means they are highly consumed. Nowadays, with excellent transportation system, we are able to stimulate the organ of taste with different stimuli from all the places in the Earth.

When we think of the past, like in the middle ages, products can only go from places to places, maybe countries to countries, but for sure not continental plates to another (unless they are realllly close). The unique cultures of race, food, drink, etc are able to maintain and keep on.

An interesting thing about drinks is it leads you to explore many other things that you have not aware of, for example, culture, history, and a lot of other histories. And for sure, your interest of beverages and the desire of learning more about them.

Here will explore different kinds of drink, with their histories, cultures, and to feel the spirit of the drinks.

Warm reminder for everyone, drink before you read, it makes you to read couple times more, easier to remember :P
